Heart Evangelista, Bretman Rock Front First Allure PH Cover

ALL eyes are on Heart Evangelista and Bretman Rock as they take the spotlight on the cover of Allure Philippines’ debut issue!

The highly anticipated launch marks a new chapter for the Filipino version of the iconic beauty magazine, which aims to redefine local beauty standards while showcasing the dynamic culture of the Philippines on a global scale.

On Wednesday, Allure Philippines shared their eye-catching debut cover on Instagram, featuring Heart Evangelista and Bretman Rock in matching single braids and bold blue form-fitting tops.

“Our two cover stars Heart Evangelista and Bretman Rock are the perfect embodiment of the Filipino now—rooted in their heritage, but at the same time, breaking boundaries and redefining what it means to represent the Philippines on a global scale,” they captioned.

“They are beauty icons in the most modern and relevant sense—bold, fearless, and unapologetically themselves,” they continued.

Both Heart and Bretman have made their mark in the fashion world in unique ways.

Heart Evangelista is a recent standout in the country’s fashion scene, having graced the runways of Paris and Milan Fashion Weeks.

Her impeccable style has earned her recognition as a muse for high-end designers and a spot in prestigious fashion publications, establishing her as a global fashion icon.

“My dad told me I was different, and that could be power too. Being flawed, being different. Not being perfect is your personal power. It’s unique,” said Heart, reflecting on her time as an actress in the Philippine industry where the standard perspective on beauty is being mestiza.

Bretman Rock, meanwhile, has shaken up the fashion industry with his unapologetic style and influence.

He starred in Nike’s “Be True” Pride campaign in 2021 and has made waves by attending major fashion events, including New York Fashion Week, further solidifying his place as a boundary-pushing style icon.

“I always believe that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And nobody is really holding me but me. If I could have changed the beauty standard, it would be not having a beauty standard. Beauty is defined by every individual, ” said Bretman in his interview during the launch.
