THE Philippines proved once again that we are a beauty pageant powerhouse!
In the just concluded Miss Elite World 2024 pageant held in Cairo, Egypt, Philippine bet Juvyel Anne Saluta was hailed as the Grand Winner.
The 20 year old beauty queen from Manila made history for being the first Filipina to bring home the Miss Elite World crown.
Not only that, Juvyel Anne also bagged the Best Smile award.
A total of 34 countries competed in the fourth edition of the pageant. To complete the roster of title holders were Victoria Maneiro of Venezuela (1st runner up), Irene Grande of Spain (2nd runner up), Sofia Gonzales of Mexico (3rd runner up), and Tawana Sheldrick (4th runner up).
The contestants were scored in different categories such as social media interaction for 5%, online voting also for 5%; bootcamp where they were judged for their behavior, poise and grace, talent, fitness, shoot performance, personal style, confidence, and resonance with the fundamentals of the pageant for 30%; and their performance during the grand finale night where they showcased their national costumes, evening gowns, and swimsuits, as well as the final question and answer portion for 60%.
Juvyel Anne was the appointed representative of the Philippines for Miss Elite World 2024 after Hiyas ng Pilipinas Organization, where the beauty queen won last year, acquired the international pageant’s franchise.
Hiyas ng Pilipinas is also set to crown their new queens on October 13.
