Famous pets who crossed paradise this 2024

WE all loved them once when we could still watch them on the internet, and their presence put a smile on our faces. 

They were prevalent on the internet, appearing in articles, reels, and memes related to pop culture that it is nearly impossible to fathom life without them.

Several celebrity pets, including cute dogs and kittens who went viral on social media and made millions of people happy worldwide, passed away this year.

Now that All Souls’ Day approaches, let us remember these furbabies that once made our day. 

Seven, the ‘Walking Dead’ dog

Seven is known to be the beloved dog from the critically acclaimed series “The Walking Dead.” Seven had crossed the rainbow last June with many fans paying tribute on to Seven on social media. 

Chowder, the chow chow

On July 31, the internet-famous chow chow dog passed away after being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease (IMHA), cancer (malignant melanoma in gums), bone spurs, arthritis, and battled an infection.

‘I Go Meow’ Cat

Do you still remember the “I Go Meow” song that once came in your “for-you page?” Unfortunately, one of the furbabies that passed this year is Cala–the cat who went viral on TikTok for her adorable “I Go Meow,” video. 

According to her fur mom, Cala died of old age last May. 

Elizabeth took Cala from a shelter, but he had become ill and was not going to get better. Subsequent tests revealed that Cala was significantly older than the shelter and her veterinarian had initially believed.

Kabosu, the ‘doge’ meme

Famously known as the “Doge meme,” Kabosu, the Shiba Inu broke many’s hearts after passing away last May. 

Kabosu was 18 year old at the time of her passing and according to her owner Atsuko Sato, she went “very peacefully without suffering.”

After visiting the animal shelter, Sato decided to adopt Kabosu in 2008. When she and Sato met, Kabosu, a puppy mill rescue, was about to be put to death by the shelter.
