Demi Lovato engaged to singer Jordan Lutes

AFTER they started dating in 2022, Demi Lovato finally announced that she and her boyfriend, singer-songwriter Jordan Lutes, are engaged. 

“I’m still speechless… last night was the best night of my life and I can’t believe I get to marry the love of my life,” she said on her Instagram.

“My love, I’m beyond excited to marry you… every day I’ve spent with you has been a dream come true and I can’t wait to love and cherish you forever. Here’s to the rest of our lives. I love you baby.” 

The couple first met in January 2022 while working on Lovato’s album “HOLY FVCK.”

Since the songs on the album were rather punk-rock in nature, Lutes was brought in to co-write some of Lovato’s songs. 

Their first encounter was when he walked into one of Lovato’s sessions, after which she quickly texted her friends: “Oh my God, the hottest guy just walked in. I am so nervous. I don’t know what to do with myself.” 

The two quickly became friends, and in time, admitted to one another how they felt. Their relationship began in August 2022 and now they’re planning to tie the knot as soon as possible.

Lovato first etched her way into people’s hearts as an actor on the Disney Channel, with movies like “Camp Rock” and shows like “Sonny with a Chance.” 

Lovato has dated quite a few notable personalities such as Trace Cyrus, Austin Wilson and Max Ehrich. 

Perhaps one of her most famous relationships is with Joe Jonas, her “Camp Rock” co-star, who she dated for three months in 2010. 

Despite their short-lived relationship, they remain good friends to this day.

She also dated “That 70’s show” actor Wilmer Valderrama, though the relationship caused a bit of controversy because Lovato was only 17 while Valderrama was 29 when they met.

Lovato has even mentioned that whenever she looks back to her past of dating older men, she finds it to be quite gross.

“Now, I’m at a place where I’m in an amazing relationship, and my boyfriend is a year older than me; we’re growing together, and it feels so healthy,” she said, referring to Lutes.

Ehrich and Lovato were also engaged in 2020 but called it off later in the year.

Now, though, everyone has their fingers crossed for the success of Lovato’s and Lutes’ relationship. 

Lutes has shown nothing but love toward Lovato throughout their year together, referring to her as his best friend and the most beautiful, talented person ever, in his birthday post to her on IG.

“I didn’t know the perfect person existed until I met you,” he wrote.

“But now that I do, I’m [gonna] spend the rest of my life protecting [you] and doing whatever I can to squeeze another smile [and] belly laugh outta [you.] I couldn’t be more proud to call [you] my baby.”
