CEDRICK Juan and Kate Alejandrino are taking their relationship to the next level, as soon-to-be husband and wife!
The 34-year-old theater and movie actor announced his engagement with the screen and theater actress on social media on Wednesday, February 19.
His post included a heartfelt letter to his now-fiancée and photos of them together, with Alejandrino showing off her engagement ring.
“Pangarap na nagsimula sa pagpapanumbalik ng iyong tunay na ngiti na naguugat sa kaluluwa, isip, puso at mga mata. Ito ang layunin ko simula noong unang araw na tayo’y nagsimula,” expressed Juan.
“Trabaho ko ang mahalin, pagsilbihan, makinig at pasayahin ka dahil nararapat ito para sayo. Ang maging sigurado at tiyak sa bawat hakbang araw-araw na magkasama. Tara mangarap tayo bawat sandali simula sa araw na ito,” he continued. “Mahal, Mahal na mahal kita at pipiliin ka araw-araw Kaitin.”
Alejandrino, meanwhile, shared her fiancé’s post on her Instagram story and said, “Iibigan ka mas higit pa bukas makalawa.”
Many netizens congratulated the couple on their engagement, including content creator Charlize Ruth Reyes (popularly known as Charuth), television personality Kaladkaren, and theater actress Teetin Villanueva, who is set to play the role of “Little Red Riding Hood” in the Philippine production of “Into the Woods” musical.
Juan and Alejandrino revealed their relationship in January, with the actor posting a long message for Alejandrino and photos of them together on social media.
In his post, the actor thanked Alejandrino for the love and lessons he learned from her.
“Bago ito sa akin, Pero sapat ang rason ng bawat argumento, tamang pakikinig at gawa para yakapin ang pagbabagong idinudulot nito sa araw-araw nating pinagsasamahan,” Juan wrote.
“Hiling ko ang mas malalim pa na pagkilala, tiwala at pagpili sa isa’t-isa araw-araw. Salamat aking katuwang sa buhay,” he added. “Mahal na mahal kita Kaitin.”
Meanwhile, Alejandrino left an infinity symbol in the comment section.
Juan is a Filipino theater, movie, and television actor who has appeared in numerous projects both on the theater stage and on screen.
Juan appeared in Dulaang UP’s “Adarna,” “Bilanggo ng Pag-ibig,” “Teatro Porvenir,” and “Hakbang sa Hakbang.” On television, he starred in several shows like the 2014 drama period series “Ilustrado” and the 2016 romantic comedy series “Till I Met You.”
The actor gained popularity through his role as Padre Jose Burgos in the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry “GomBurZa,” which won him the Best Actor award in the 49th MMFF Gabi ng Parangal.
Alejandrino, on the other hand, starred in several films like “Respeto” in 2017, “Ang Pangarap Kong Holdap” in 2018. She also appeared in the Philippine adaptation of Korean drama “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim” and the drama action series “Lavender Fields.”
