Celebrities recognized at TikTok Creators Night 2023

THE stars went down last night to grace the TikTok Creators Night 2023 at the Rizal Park Hotel, where they were recognized for their talents they showcased on the social media platform.

Filipino celebrities and content creators strutted down the red carpet in their fabulous black-and-white avant-garde ensembles.

The star-studded event held on December 10 recognized the efforts that content creators have exerted in “inspiring, educating, and entertaining Filipinos through your world-class content,” said TikTok Philippines head of community Jules Garcia.

Among the biggest names present was award-winning actress Marian Rivera, who was named Breakthrough Creator of 2023.

The Kapuso star, who has 7.7 million TikTok followers, has been making waves on the platform with her dance challenge videos.

One of the most notable TikTok clips of her was the most requested “Sabay Sabay Tayo” dance challenge. Released in 2009, Rivera’s iconic song remains to be popular among the young generation.

In an interview with GMA News, Rivera expressed her gratitude to her supporters and said that she has yet to showcase more of her dancing skills.

“Maraming salamat sa mga nagfo-follow sa’kin sa TikTok. ‘Wag kayong mag-alala dahil marami pa kong sayaw na ipo-post para sa inyo,” she said.

Meanwhile, P-pop kings SB19, Kapuso actress Gabbi Garcia, and OPM singer Yeng Constantino were named Philippine Artists of the Year.

The P-pop trailblazers recently took over the internet with their popular “GENTO” dance challenge that saw not only local but also international artists dancing to the hit song’s choreography.

Many popular K-pop idols jumped on the dance craze, including ATEEZ’s San, former 2NE1 member Minzy, Zerobaseone’s Sung Hanbin and Park Gunwook, and WEi’s Yohan.

Other content creators who attended the Creators Night 2023 were Aaron Manieg (known as Bortang Barbie), Lottie Bie, Phillip Hernandez (a.k.a Davao Conyo), Spence Serafica, Joyang TV, and Daniel Laudit (popularly known as Mentor).

Multilingual and multiethnic P-pop group ALAMAT, celebrity couple Megan Young and Mikael Daez, and drag queens Arizona Brandy and Eva Le Queen were also present at the event.
