CANADIAN singer-songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen will soon ring the wedding bells with Grammy-winning producer Cole Marsden Greif-Neill, also known as Cole M.G.N.
The “Call Me Maybe” singer and the record producer took their relationship to the next level, announcing that they are now “very engaged.”
Jepsen shared several photos of her and Greif-Neill on Instagram, with the former wearing her engagement ring.
The 38-year-old singer’s engagement ring veered away from the usual sparkly diamond ring, featuring a gold band with a dark stone.
Her Instagram post also included photos of them at the farm, with the last one showing the newly engaged couple kissing.
The couple became Instagram official in November 2022, when Jepsen celebrated her 37th birthday with her loved ones.
Jepsen’s heartfelt message ended with a birthday wish addressed to Greif-Neill.
“And to my man Cole. I wished for lots of secret things but also and most importantly just more bdays with you,” she wrote.
The post included a clip of the record producer delivering a cake to Jepsen before they shared a kiss.
Meanwhile, the comment section of Jepsen’s Instagram post was flooded with congratulatory messages from internet users, particularly those in the entertainment industry.
“It’s no guitar string but she got her wedding ring,” one netizen said, referring to the chorus part of Jepsen’s 2012 song “Guitar String/Wedding Ring.”
“Safe Heaven” actress Julianne Hough and singers Rita Wilson and Bonnie McKee also congratulated the couple on their engagement.
“Best wishes Carly!!!!! Such happy news!!!” said Wilson.
“Congrats! What a beautiful couple you are!” added McKee.
Hough wrote, “Congratulations gorgeous.”
“Girls” creator Lena Dunham, on the other hand, commented, “Love seeing you LOVED because you are so darn lovable. Beaming more love at you lovers.”
In a previous interview with PEOPLE, Jepsen shared that her management teamed her up with Greif-Neill for her 2023 album “The Loveliest Time” but their collaborative relationship soon turned into a romantic one.
She added that one of the album’s songs, “So Right,” described their “meet-cute.” The song opened with a conversation between Jepsen and Greif-Neill about hanging out together.
In another interview with E! Insider, Jepsen described Greif-Neill as an “annoyingly talented” person who won six Grammy awards and a “beautiful person inside and out.”
Last year, Jepsen dropped the official visualizer for “Shy Boy,” featuring her and Greif-Neill spending quality time as they danced together on the streets.
“All the Academy Awards to my real life shy boy [Cole] for being so cute,” she wrote in an Instagram post.
Jepsen participated in the fifth season of the reality show “Canadian Idol” in 2007. Her career breakthrough came when she released her hit song “Call Me Maybe” in 2012.
Meanwhile, Greif-Neill has worked with various artists including Beck, Julia Holter, and Snoop Dogg, among others. He released his self-titled extended play (EP) in 2016.
