BTS’ J-Hope to come back to Manila for ‘Hope on the Stage’ solo tour

2025 is a much-anticipated year for fans of K-pop powerhouse BTS as the phenomenal septet is expected to return to the K-pop scene as a full unit.

While nothing is announced yet about their comeback, Filipino ARMY is celebrating on Friday, January 10, because J-Hope will bring his “Hope on the Stage” tour to the Philippines!

BIGHIT Music, J-Hope’s label, shared the poster for “Hope on the Stage” bearing the schedule of the K-pop idol’s first solo tour. J-Hope will hold a two-day concert in the country, from April 12 to 13, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

The concert tour will kick off in Seoul, South Korea, from February 28 to March 2. BTS’ main dancer will then tour several cities in the Unites States, followed by stops in some cities in Asia like Saitama, Singapore, Jakarta, Bangkok, Macau, Taipei, and Osaka.

Further details about the Manila leg of “Hope on the Stage,” such as ticketing details and seat plan, are yet to be announced.

The show marks J-Hope’s first return to the Philippines since BTS held its “The Wings Tour in Manila” in 2017.

’Secured ticket cutie’

The word “Manila” is currently trending on X (formerly Twitter), as Filipino ARMY expressed their excitement for J-Hope’s, whom they fondly call Hobi, return to the country.

Many are manifesting to secure tickets to their idol’s highly anticipated concert.

“Me studying hard and well para grumaduate and deserve na makita si Hobi sa April. Graduation and tix cutie,” one Filo ARMY said.

“Ano pa silbi ng bohai [buhay] ko kung ‘di ko rin mararanasan ‘to??? Lowrd sige na,” another fan posted.

Another Filo ARMY was thrilled about J-Hope’s world tour and said, “Tatakbong nakangiti bukas dahil babalik na si Hobi sa Philippines after 8 years!”

About BTS’ J-Hope

J-Hope serves as BTS’ main dancer and rapper and debuted in 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment.

BTS is one of the well-known K-pop groups in today’s generation, with over 75 million followers on Instagram alone. The quintet is known for its hit songs “Dynamite,” “Butter,” “Permission to Dance,” “Boy With Luv,” and “Fake Love,” among many others.

The boy group has collaborated with other international artists, such as Halsey and Lauv, and earned five GRAMMY nominations. They are the first K-pop group ever to receive a nomination from the prestigious award-giving body.

In 2022, J-Hope promoted as a solo artist with the release of his debut album “Jack in the Box.” He made history in the same year as the first South Korean artist to headline Lollapalooza, a major US music festival.

J-Hope is the second BTS member to be discharged from mandatory South Korean military service in 2024, following their vocalist and oldest member, Jin.

It was in the same year that he released his “Hope on the Street Vol. 1” extended play (EP), consisting of six tracks including his collaborations with fellow BTS member Jung Kook for “i wonder” and Huh Yunjin of K-pop girl group LE SSERAFIM for “i don’t know.”
