J-HOPE of global pop phenomenon BTS is making the most out of his 2025 solo comeback, gifting his fans—who waited for his return from his 18-month mandatory military service with—new music.
BigHit Music, J-Hope’s label, revealed on Wednesday that the renowned K-pop idol will release a new digital single titled “Sweet Dreams,” featuring GRAMMY-award-winning R&B singer Miguel.
“Sweet Dreams” is an R&B pop track that expresses one’s “genuine desire to boldly love and be loved.” It will also showcase how the two artists “gently deliver this dreamy, sweet melody of love,” according to the record label.
“Sweet Dreams” will be released on March 7, but it will premiere live at J-Hope’s “Hope on the Stage” concert in Seoul, South Korea.
To recall, J-Hope will embark on a world tour this year, which will kick off at KSPO Dome in Seoul. It will be a three-day concert, beginning from February 28 to March 2.
The tour included a two-day show in the Philippines, from April 12 to 13 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
“Sweet Dreams” is J-Hope’s first song release in 2025. His last music release was his “Hope on the Street Vol. 1” extended play (EP) in March 2024, which featured his song collaborations with fellow BTS member Jung Kook for “i wonder” and Huh Yunjin of K-pop girl group LE SSERAFIM for “i don’t know.”
J-Hope is a rapper and dancer who debuted with his fellow BTS members Jin, RM, Suga, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook in 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment.
The 31-year-old K-pop idol promoted as a solo artist in 2022, with his first solo album “Jack in the Box.”
He has collaborated with other international artists like J. Cole, Nile Rodgers, and Benny Blanco. Recently, J-Hope was featured in Don Toliver’s new single “LV Bag.”
Much to Filipino ARMY’s delight, J-Hope even teamed up with Filipina Gen Z content creator Niana Guerrero for the dance cover of “LV Bag” on TikTok.
Before this, J-Hope followed Niana on TikTok, sparking excitement among netizens.
Like J-Hope, Miguel previously collaborated with J. Cole for his single “All I Want Is You” in April 2010. It was part of his debut studio album of the same name, which arrived in November of the same year.
He made his breakthrough in 2012 when he dropped his second album “Kaleidoscope Dream,” which featured his multiplatinum song “Adorn.”
Fast forward to the 55th GRAMMY Awards in 2013, Miguel collaborated with Wiz Khalifa for the remix version of “Adorn,” which earned them “Best R&B Song” that year. This was Miguel’s first-ever GRAMMY win.
Miguel is also known for his hit songs “Sure Thing,” “Girl With The Tattoo Enter.lewd,” and “Sky Walker (feat. Travis Scott).” In 2024, he released his “Girl With The Tattoo” EP and his single “Always Time.”
