BLACKPINK confirms comeback to concert stage in 2025

JUST when several BLINKs thought BLACKPINK started entering its “tingi” era with the members’ solo comebacks, the K-pop powerhouse surprised them with a group event this year.

On Wednesday evening, BLACKPINK—composed of Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rosè—dropped a short video teaser for its 2025 world tour.

The 21-second clip opened with a stadium filled with BLINKs carrying BLACKPINK’s pink heart-shaped hammer lightstick and then shifted to the phenomenal quartet on the stage.

It concluded with the text that read, “2025 world tour.”

Further details about the upcoming world tour—including tour dates, concert tickets, and stops—have yet to be announced.

BLACKPINK’s 2025 world tour will follow its “Born Pink” concert tour, which commenced in October 2022 and capped off in September 2023 in Seoul, South Korea.

The Philippines was included in the Asia tour, which was held at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan from March 25 to 26, 2023.

The “Born Pink” tour was held in support of BLACKPINK’s second studio album of the same name, which featured hit songs “Pink Venom,” “Shut Down,” and “Typa Girl,” among others.

Solo comebacks

The news about BLACKPINK’s 2025 world tour came after Jisoo, the group’s vocalist, announced her return to the Philippines for her first “Lights, Love, Action” fan meet tour in Asia.

But BLISSOO, Jisoo’s agency, has yet to reveal additional information about the Manila stop of the event, including the exact date, venue, and ticket prices.

Jisoo will also star in new series “Newtopia,” which will premiere on February 7, and will release her debut solo mini-album “Amortage” on February 14.

Meanwhile, Jennie will drop her first studio album, “Ruby,” on March 7, where she collaborated with several international artists such as Childish Gambino, Doechii, Dominic Fike, FKJ, Kali Uchis, and Dua Lipa.

She shared “Love Hangover” to the public on January 31, a pre-release from “Ruby” and her collaboration song with Dominic Fike.

Rosè made her musical comeback in 2024 with her debut solo studio album “Rosie.” It featured her song collaboration with 15-time GRAMMY award-winning singer-songwriter Bruno Mars, “APT.

In the same year, Lisa returned to the music scene with her singles “Rockstar,” “New Woman (feat. ROSALÍA),” and “Moonlit Floor (Kiss Me).”

The world tour announcement gained mixed reactions from BLACKPINK’s fans. While some are excited, others said they wanted the girls to have a “well-prepared comeback.”

Some felt like the news came out of nowhere and pointed out that there was not even an announcement for BLACKPINK’s comeback as a full group.

“We want a proper, well-prepared comeback with lots of promotions and not rushed! Put this tour [in] 2026!” one BLINK said on X (formerly Twitter).

“[What do you mean] world tour before comeback announcement are you kidding me?” another fan posted.

“All [four] members [are] gonna be so busy for their individual promotion at least up until March [or] April. All BLINKS really miss them too, but I hope it is done after considering every aspect including [the] members’ health,” a netizen wrote.

BLACKPINK is still under YG Entertainment, but the members have signed with different agencies for their solo activities.

Their last group comeback was in 2022 for “Born Pink.”
