Artificial brilliance: Da Vinci masterpieces star in AI exhibit

THE highly anticipated multi-sensorial showcase Wisdom of Da Vinci: An Immersive AI Experience will finally land in the Philippines this Friday.

From Turkey and Australia, the AI exhibit will be showcasing the works and legacy of the high renaissance painter Leonardo da Vinci, as well as other masterpieces, by combining art and the magic of technology.

The showcase will be open to the public from August 5 until the end of October at One Bonifacio High Street.

Wisdom of Da Vinci: An Immersive AI Experience is brought to the country by the award-winning Istanbul-based creative studio Ouchhh. It revolves around the concept “data as a paint, algorithm as a brush.”

It intends to provide an immersive experience to its audience through a multi-sensory display of various artworks, including Da Vinci’s, presented using the wonders of artificial intelligence.

Wisdom of Da Vinci vows to deliver a “one-of-a-kind interpretation of art and science through AI data paintings.”

Exhibit-goers will be witnessing the convergence of art and science through its displayed pieces.

“We collected data and art history from more than 20,000 paints and from the 342 artists. The main one is Leonardo but it is more than Leonardo. The people will experience the entire art history,” OUCHHH founder Ferdi Alici was quoted as saying in a 24-Oras report.

There will also be an AI presentation derived from data collected from members of the Manila Symphony Orchestra that will be played in real-time during the exhibit, said Alici.

Moreover, the exhibit will feature books from Albert Einstein and Galileo Galilei.
