Alden Richards warns against fake tweets

ALDEN Richards is maintaining his decision to keep more details about his friendship with Kathryn Bernardo personal and private.

In a report on “24 Oras,” the Kapuso actor warned netizens about fake tweets spreading online mentioning them as well as Daniel Padilla, Kathryn’s ex-boyfriend.

“Kahit kailan po hindi po ako magko-comment ng kahit anong defamatory words to someone na hindi ko naman masyadong nakakasama at wala naman akong karapatan na manghusga sa taong tinutukoy dun sa mga fake tweets na kumakalat,” Richards said.

The actor added that everyone should be wary of fake news in social media as it is prone to false information, and that they must fact-check before giving any judgement.

Richards and Bernardo were recently recognized as the Box Office King and Queen of 2024.

In his latest magazine cover, Richards opened about being paired with Bernardo and said that whatever was happening between them, he wanted it to be personal. 

The actor previously commented on the real score between them and told fans that “what you see is what you get.”

Richards is working on the upcoming series “Pulang Araw” with Barbie Forteza, David Licauco and Sanya Lopez.

He will play the role of Eduardo, Barbie’s half-brother who has American blood.
