2024’s top Google searches amongst Filipinos

WITH the near end of 2024 comes the rundown of top Google searches made by Filipinos.

According to Google, the category of News tops the search bars of Filipinos, ranking 6 out 10 overall searches regarding current events and breaking developments.

“As an example of Filipinos looking up current events, “heat wave” comes out as the #1 overall and news search term (with “climate change” itself at #6 overall and #5 in news),” said Google Philippines.

Aside from current happenings, one of the topics that became trending was the 2024 Paris Olympics and Filipino Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo.

Coming at 3rd is the fascination of Filipinos in the topic of Artificial Intelligence. According to the tech giant, it shows that the Philippines shows willingness to learn more about the latest innovation in terms of technology. 

Celebrities searches also tops the consistent searches for the Filipinos. 

“These include those who unfortunately passed this year, with veteran Filipina actress Jaclyn Jose and former One Direction member Liam Payne at #2 and #8 overall, respectively.”

Filipino girl group BINI also tops the search among female personalities with two of their hits “Salamin, Salamin,” and “Pantropiko,” making in the top 10 list of music and lyrics searched.
