Drug exec, 2 agents arrested

MANILA, Philippines – The district chief of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Southern (PDEA) District, along with two other PDEA agents and a civilian driver, were intercepted in an anti-illegal drugs operation Tuesday. 

In a report, the PDEA-National Capital Region Police Office identified the officers suspects as PDEA Southern District Office chief Enrique Lucero, agents Anthony Alabastro and Jaireh Llaguno, and driver Mark Wallo. 

The officials have yet to explain their side.

But the drug sting was conducted on December 6, 2022 at the PDEA South District Office along A. Bonifacio St. Brgy., Upper Bicutan Taguig City, according to investigators.

Seized from the suspects were suspected crystal meth or “shabu” weighing 1.35 kilograms with an estimated value worth P9.1 million, buy-bust money and four long firearms.

The suspects are now under the custody of the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit -NCRPO pending the filing of charges before the Taguig City Prosecutor’s Office.
