New Assassin’s Creed: Codename Jade stuns gamers with gameplay leak

by Joyce Remo

Award-winning video game series Assassin’s Creed is unleashing its newly developed game called “Assassin’s Creed: Codename Jade” into the mobile game landscape.

Fans of this ancient-themed console game were excited as to what the new game series Codename Jade would offer.

The leak

While details regarding the game’s release remain unknown to the public, a Reddit user shared a snippet of the anticipated Codename Jade’s gameplay.

According to a video game reviewer, GameSpot, Codename Jade’s gameplay leak is extremely identical to the console version.

Reddit users were astonished about the game’s graphic features, noting that it was surprising for Ubisoft, Assassin’s Creed’s developer, to lean into making quality experiences for gamers.

The announcement for Codename Jade’s release came with the Assassin’s Creed 2022 Showcase, along with other AC games like  Valhalla The Last Chapter, Mirage, Codename Red, and Codename Hexe.

Ubisoft dropped Codename Jade’s one-minute trailer on Youtube, inviting gaming enthusiasts to create their own assassins and “parkour on the Great Wall, sneak through bustling cities, discover secret locations, and journey through diverse environments with Ancient China as an epic backdrop.”

Codename Jade is set in Ancient China, somewhere between 215 BCE under the Qin dynasty.

Game developers mentioned Codename Jade would not be including the original protagonist. However, the new character is reportedly fully customizable to accommodate players’ preferences.

While Ubisoft is yet to announce the release date, GameSpot speculates Codename Jade is not very far from being available to the public.

Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed is an open-world, action-adventure, and stealth game franchise that allows players to play and immerse themselves “in the memories of your ancestors, fighting to protect free will at pivotal moments in human history.”
