BTS’ Jung Kook performs “Dreamers” in FIFA World Cup Opening Rites

Fans got crazy over K-Pop superstar Jeon Jung-kook opening the ceremony with “Dreamers,” one of the official soundtracks of the FIFA World Cup held in Qatar on November 20.

“He was spectacular, “ one fan commented on a FIFA Youtube post.

“Today, those who are not in the army can see why we are so proud of BTS. JK not only gave himself away, he showed how he shines. Shines ever since he became an artist. Very proud.”

Said another fan: “I feel this song makes the world united, and brings me [a] peaceful and warm feeling. Jungkook[‘s] voice is so impressive, attractive and beautiful. I respect his strong passion and [sincerity] for music. He is a wonderful artist, and I love Jungkook and BTS so much. They always inspire a lot of people around the world.”

Other artists

Qatari singer Fahad Al-Kubaisi also joined Jungkook on stage in the performance.

Other songs included in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 soundtrack are “Tukoh Taka” by Nicki Minaj, Maluma and Myriam Fares and “Hayya Hayya (Better Together) by Davido, Trinidad Cardona and Aisha.

There are 32 teams that will participate in the World Cup and the champions will be announced on December 18.

Jungkook, the youngest among the seven BTS members, previously collaborated with Charlie Puth on the song “Left and Right,” which became a big trend on Tiktok when it was released.
