Bianca Manalo, Jayson Gainza now Kapuso stars

BIANCA Manalo and Jayson Gainza are the newest addition to the roster of Kapamilya-turned-Kapuso stars. 

The two inked their contract Tuesday (November 22) with Sparkle (formerly GMA Artist Center) the talent management arm of the network. 

Among the Kapuso executives who were present at the contract signing were Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide, and Support Annette Gozon-Valdes, Assistant Vice President for Talent Management Joy Marcelo, and Sparkle Consulting Head for Talent Imaging and Marketing, Lawrence Tan.

Sparkle management has revealed the transfer on their Facebook page.

“Actually, super unexpected, kasi when I first met Ms. Annette and Ms.Joy, sabi ko, ‘Naku, magustuhan kaya ako ng mga magiging boss ko?,” Manalo said in her speech during the contract signing. 

“True enough, niyakap din naman nila ako nang mabuti and pinaramdam nila sa akin kung paano sila mag-alaga ng magiging talents nila. Kaya very thankful and grateful ako. Thank you po sa trust,” she said. 

Gainza expressed his happiness about his career move on Instagram.

“Sa bagong yugto ng buhay ko salamat @gmanetwork @sparklegmaartistcenter sa aking Manager kuya Darryl at sa handler ko @rappalvarez sa pagaasikaso sa akin,” he said. 

“Sa mga boss ng @gmanetwork salamat sa tiwala. Maraming salamat din sa pinanggalingan kong istasyon @abscbn @starmagicphils kuya @alan_m_real #Mr.M @direklauren kung saan ako nagsimula malaki ang utang na loob konsa inyo salamat maraming salamat po,” he added. 

Prior to his transfer, Gainza had already appeared in a few programs for GMA, his last Kapamilya show was “Banana Sundae.” 

Manalo’s last project with ABS-CBN was “The Broken Marriage Vow” (January-June 2022).
